Rain washed out the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race Saturday afternoon at Pocono Raceway, but hope remains for the first of two scheduled Cup Series events this weekend.

The Truck Series’ 150-mile event will now be held Sunday morning as the first of a loaded three-race schedule at the Tricky Triangle.

The Truck Series race will roll off at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, preceding the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ 225-mile event scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Following those contests, the premier NASCAR Cup Series will take the track at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon for a 350-mile race.

According to the Associated Press, NASCAR said it's the first time three NASCAR National Series races will be raced on the same day at the same track. It will be the fifth time three NASCAR National Series races will be run on the same day but those were at different tracks.

If weather cooperates Saturday, the Cup Series will compete in a 325-mile, 130-lap race at 3:30 p.m. on Fox.
