The Bartonsville Giant is getting a fresh coat of paint and some new and expanded sections in a hefty renovation scheduled to take place this summer.

The GIANT Company announced Tuesday that their Bartonsville store at 65 Route 611 will see “additions to simplify shopping for busy families,” with new product assortments and modernized décor; along with an expanded farm-fresh produce department with a variety of locally-grown items, organic selections and in-store fresh-cut fruits and vegetable; an updated deli and new cheese shop; and a refreshed Beer & Wine Eatery.

“We take our commitment to this community, which we have proudly served for more than 10 years, seriously, and this remodel is a tangible sign of our promise to provide our Bartonsville customers with an outstanding shopping experience,” store manager Tom Magallanes said. “We are excited to get started on the store remodel which will help us to better serve our customers and their families, with improved displays and more product offerings to meet their changing grocery needs.”

The Bartonsville Giant has been in operation since 2009, employing approximately 190 team members.

To help Bartonsville customers during the remodel, the company is encouraging the use of GIANT DIRECT, where they can order groceries online for curbside pickup or delivery.

The remodel is part of a $114 million investment in capital expenditures announced by The GIANT Company earlier this year. The company aims to create a GIANT DIRECT ecommerce fulfillment center, open two new stores, and remodel 35 existing stores in Pennsylvania through 2021.

The company says the investment will grow its commitment to Monroe County, the city of Philadelphia, and its home market in Central Pennsylvania.
