Nine area high schools: Delaware Valley, East Stroudsburg North, East Stroudsburg South, Jim Thorpe, Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg, Palmerton, Pocono Mountain East, Pocono Mountain West and Stroudsburg will compete in this year’s local competition. The competition will be held on Feb. 24, 25 and 26, with playoff/snow dates, if necessary, on March 2, 3 and 4. All competition rounds will take place at the Monroe County Courthouse and begin at 6 p.m. The winner of the local district competition will compete in the regional competition during the second week of March against the district winner from neighboring counties. From the regional competitions throughout the Commonwealth, 14 teams will compete in the Statewide Mock Trial Championships, March 27 and 28, in Harrisburg. The winning team of the state championship will represent Pennsylvania in the national mock trial finals to be held May 6 to 9 in Evansville, Indiana.
