HAWLEY — After careful consideration, The Chamber of the Northern Poconos and its collaborative partners regret to announce the cancellation of this year’s Wally Lake Fest which was scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 28 to 30.
The chamber board and committees understand this comes as an enormous disappointment, not only to the exhibitors, vendors and participants of the 10-year event but also to the community and visitors who look forward to celebrating the lake and its vibrant region every year. Please be reminded that businesses throughout the Lake Wallenpaupack and Hawley region offer plenty of shopping dining and entertainment options during summer and beyond.
Considering public health concerns around the country, Pennsylvania and here in the Pocono Mountains, we must consider our community and the safety of all involved. By adhering to the guidelines set forth by Governor Tom Wolf and the PA Department of Health, we protect our visitors, residents and businesses.
These are difficult times however the chamber and its members look forward to bringing back Wally Lake Fest in future years.
