Gentle Outdoor Yoga with Gee
Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission will offer gentle outdoor yoga with Gee at 2 p.m. Sunday at the gazebo in Jay Albertson Park, across Wallace Street from the pond. Learn to connect movement with breath, integrating mind, body and soul. Three types of sessions: gentle, family and all level yoga. Bring a mat, blanket, and blocks if you have them. We cannot loan out equipment at this time due to sanitation standards. Perfect for beginners, seniors, and those who like relaxing and restorative yoga. Dansbury - StroudKids Before Care
Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission will offer before care from 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, June 22 through 26. This program is offered at two locations: Dansbury Park, 15 Day St., East Stroudsburg; Morey Elementary School, Stroudsburg. Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:15 a.m. to participate in morning games and activities. Campers will be signed in with their Stroud Kids counselors at the beginning of the regular camp day 9 a.m. Bring a morning snack or there is a free breakfast provided by the East Stroudsburg Area School District. Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission will offer nature programs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 22 to 26 at Morey Elementary School and Stroudsburg High School, Stroudsburg. Stroud Kids provides a safe, fun, and engaging program for school-aged participants ages 4 and 5 and 6 to 12, including active and passive games, swimming, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, cooperative challenges, and much more. Weekly themes offer varied activities as well as action and adventure, and special visitors provide exciting and educational experiences for campers as well. Wild Wonders at the Preserve
Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission offers this program at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Forevergreen Nature Preserve. For ages 2 to 5 and at least one parent must stay with children. Come play, find critters, and meet friends at Forevergreen Nature Preserve — all while maintaining health and safety. Get some energy out and explore the natural world at the same time. SROSRC has put in place many preventative measures, including following all CDC recommendations, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but cannot guarantee that you or your child will not become infected with COVID-19 due to its contagious nature.
