The Wildlands Conservancy will lead a hike along Pocono Heritage Land Trust's Henry's Crossing and Upper Paradise Preserves, following an old fire road for 3.5 - 4 miles total, at one point crossing Cranberry Creek. Leashed dogs welcome, no bathrooms available.

Tap Takeover with Brodhead Watershed Association
BWA is taking over the taps at Mountain View Vineyard, Winery & Distillery because great-tasting beverages start with clean and abundant water. On this day, $1 from every draft beverage, including wine, sold will go back to BWA. Anyone that becomes a BWA member will receive a free tote.

Learn the art of turkey calling
Hunters will have the opportunity to prep for turkey season in Pennsylvania and take their turkey calling skills and tactics to the next level with seminars by some of the best in the industry. Learn turkey calling tips from World Turkey Calling Champion Matt Morrett and Petersen’s Bowhunting Editor Christian Berg, as well as other presentations from experts. Proceeds from The Art of Turkey Calling benefit ArtsQuest’s free Step Outdoors festival for families May 30-31, as well as the conservation work of the Jerry Zimmerman Memorial & Walking Purchase Chapters of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Make your own Adirondack Pack Basket
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary has again teamed up with The Country Seat and renowned basket maker Linda Scherz to offer an Adirondack Pack Basket Workshop this spring. Adirondack Pack Baskets are a part of the Hawk Mountain tradition, and all Hawk Mountain “Hawk Counters” use them to transport gear to lookouts daily. Pack baskets are not only traditional but are also very lightweight, strong and functional. Four sizes to choose from, Junior Basket only takes one day to complete.

Run to benefit conservation in the Poconos
The Creek 5K is a scenic run within Stroud Township's ForEvergreen Nature Preserve. Participants will enjoy the course's winding trails throughout the Preserve along the historic Brodhead Creek in the Poconos. Reclaimed from a former golf course, ForEvergreen Nature Preserve was established in 2013 and now protects a beautiful property bordering the Brodhead Creek in Monroe County. This year, Pocono Heritage Land Trust, Stroud Township, Brodhead Watershed Association, and 1% For Nature are teaming up to raise money for local conservation efforts and to support the ForEvergreen Nature Preserve. The 5K event will feature wine tasting from Eagles Nest Cellars Winery, food vendors, a guided walk to the property's resident eagle nest and more.
