Businesswire has announced the hotels added to the Historic Hotels of America‘s “Top 25 Historic Hotels for a Romantic Proposal” list for 2020. Three Pennsylvania hotels, including one in the Poconos, made the cut.


According to a press release, the historic hotels that made this year‘s list are the ideal locations for marriage proposals, anniversaries, weddings and honeymoons.


“Historic Hotels are the perfect place for celebrating special occasions that create lifelong memories and are the ideal location for a romantic proposal.” The release said.


Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest Historic Hotels.


The Pennsylvania hotels that made the list are:


Ledges Hotel, Hawley


Built in 1890, this hotel was chosen for it‘s grand and romantic views that will have you “falling in love.” According to Businesswire: “the tiered decks overlooking Paupack High Falls are one of the most romantic spots to pop the question at Ledges Hotel.” The falls make for breathtaking views, all year round, even in winter. The Sayre Mansion, Bethlehem


This Lehigh Valley historic mansion is a popular backdrop for marriage proposals. Built in 1858, the bed and breakfast offers sweeping views of historic Bethlehem. The Hotel Hershey, Hershey


The Hotel Hershey boasts it‘s own, sweet love story: portraits of founder Milton S. Hershey and wife Catherine can be found throughout the resort, which was built in 1933.
